What is your Christmas wish this year?

We are collecting our customers’ and community’s festive wishes to be written on simple baubles which will hang in Bridges twinkling window as our contribution to the Cambridge Bid annual Christmas Window Competition. The winning window earns £150 to donate to charity.

But what’s equally important for us is to have a window of hope and joy and simple wishes from you. You can come into Bridges and write them yourselves, or send us by DM, or comment here. We can write them on the baubles for you. It can be a wish, a hashtag, a few words that have meaning for you. Please make them ten words or fewer. Less is more!

Everyone who helps us by contributing a message will be entered into our very own giveaway - to win a meal for four (a main, a drink and a dessert each) to be taken sometime during 2021. And if we win, our winner will also get to choose the charity for our donation.

Please get your wishes to us by the 15th of December so we can welcome our customers again with our Christmas window of hope and love and gratitude..

Share this post, drop us a few words, we need your messages on the baubles to share the community love to make 2021 a brighter year. Let light shine out of darkness. ♥️

Love,

Meggy, Chan & Team Bridges

.

Update: while writing this post, we are getting additional donations of prizes including

- a pack of Xmas cards from Naomi Davies Art (who gave me the lovely idea of baubles message for decorations).

- a box of award winning Reforest Tea donated by Reforest Org. (Alastair just added 2 more boxes!)

- a whole Guinness Chocolate cake baked by Romano's

If you are a local supplier, an artist or a maker who wants to donate a little gift for the raffle please dm us.

Here we go again! Lockdown#2 from Thursday 5th November 2020. But this time we are prepared to open for takeaway, delivery and click & collect. Or you can message us via our social media channels (instagram, facebook messenger or twitter) to place your order.

Our order hotline: 07733005871, email: info@bridgescambridge.co.uk

During November, we open from 10am-3pm Monday to Saturday, and 11am-3pm Sunday.

Let's hope it's only for 4 weeks before we can lay the table for you again.

Since reopening in June 2020, we have assessed our layout and put in measures to ensure it's covid-safe for you to come in to order. Please wear a facemask when placing your order in our counter. All filled baguettes, toasties, salad or juices are made to order and it will take only a few minutes while you wait on the scenic Portugal Place or Bridge Street. For a quick grab & go, just choose from our new counter with various savouries and cakes freshly cooked & filled daily. Or let us pour you a pot of hearty homemade soup. We have minimise use of plastic as much as possible in Bridges and all our disposables are recyclable or biodegradable.

If you prefer to enjoy our food in the comfort of your own home, order via our delivery partners

For catering, check out our catering page. A sharing platter for 4-6 is very popular at the moment. Just email us your requirement at least 24 hours in advance.

2020 isn't a great year for the hospitality industry and we are saddened by the fact that lots of restaurants & small businesses are closing permanently. We are blessed to have your support to keep us going all these years. All the small businesses and locals are relying on your choice and your way of shopping now.
